Halloween Fun & Interactive Spider’s Web

29 Oct

Hope you all had a great weekend! We kept plenty busy with deep cleaning our house, hanging out with family and a couple fun fall festivities!

Friday, we went to Night Eyes at the zoo. This was our first year and we will definitely be going back! Even though it was chilly, these dinosaurs kept warm in their soft, plush costumes.

We got to see some of our favorite characters!! Batman and Spiderman were a highlight for sure, but we also saw pirates, Dorothy and Scarecrow, Humpty Dumpty, and we can’t forget about the animals!
And another big event was riding the camel! Super fun night! We also had a fall party at church, but I did take any pictures because both boys were too warm to wear their costumes indoors.

Today I want to share with you how to make an interactive spider’s web. Here’s what you’ll need:

*chairs

*rope

*fake spiders (optional)

All you do is take rope and tie it to the rungs on chairs and weave it back and forth between the chairs. Keep it low to the ground. The kids loved crawling under or jumping over the rope.  We added some fake spiders to spice it up and make it seem a bit more real.

We made this activity a game, too. We dumped all 75 spiders out and I gave the boys 1 minute to pick them up. They have to weave between the rope to get some of them, so it added a little challenge.
This kept them busy and entertained for quite a while. And now I know they are both perfectly capable of picking up their toys quickly 🙂 So, if you happen to have some rope lying around, tie them to chairs and make a fun, interactive web for the kiddos!
